Supported Browsers

Summary

This document contains browser requirements for tenants (clients) to utilize the GAN Integrated Compliance Management (GAN ICM) platform, a cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform accessible through a web browser.

GAN advises all clients to use the latest versions of Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Apple Safari, or Mozilla Firefox as these are actively maintained by developers and are patched for performance and security updates regularly. The platform is likely to work on other browsers such as Opera but is not tested to the same degree as the officially supported browsers listed below.

Supported Browsers

Being a cloud-based platform, GAN ICM is an online application that is consumed through Web Browsers. We encourage our users to update to the most recent and stable versions of web browsers for both security and performance reasons.

Desktop

Note: Internet Explorer is no longer a supported browser. Internet Explorer 11 ceased support as of November 30th 2020, while Internet Explorer 10 reached end of life on January 31st 2020. GAN ICM and its platform features will not load as the browsers are sub-optimal for use of Javascript (which all modern web-applications rely on) and are considered insecure. 

GAN ICM products have administrator (Compliance Manager) as well as employee-facing interfaces. Product features catering to an administrator is not supported on mobile devices as screen sizes have an impact on the content that is visible. Generally, the employee-facing interfaces render on the latest stable versions on the following mobile browsers:

Apple iOS

• Safari Mobile: latest two stable versions supported

Android™

• Chrome Mobile: latest two stable versions supported

• Firefox Mobile: latest two stable versions supported

• Samsung Internet: latest two stable versions supported

The available browsers and the capabilities of browsers will change over time. The term latest is defined by browser vendors. GAN reserves the right to phase out support for browsers as they become outdated.
