How to add different languages to a test

This article covers the following topics:

 

Test languages can be added both when a policy is in Draft (mceclip0.png) and when it is Active (mceclip1.png).

NB:

When you add a new language to a test a copy of your default language will be created.

By doing this you will not be able to add new questions to your test, the type of questions cannot be changed, the amount of questions and answers cannot be changed. You will only be able to edit the text of the questions and of the answers.

   

Add a new language to a draft Test

  1. Select Training Manager then Test from the sidebar
  2. Click on a Draft (mceclip0.png) Test
  3. In the Test details page, go to the Test languages section and click on Copy content to a new language (mceclip0.png)
  4. A new language section will appear next to the existing one and you be asked to fill out the following information:
    • Language
    • Test title
    • Description
           
      Label   Description
      Language  

      You will have to select the new language for this test from the drop-down menu.

      Test title   This title will be visible to users that have selected the chosen language for their portal.
           
      Description   A description of the test can be added in this section and will be visible only for employees that have chosen this language for their portal
           
  5. Click on SAVE PROGRESS on the top right of the page

 

Add a new language to a published Test

  1. Select Training Manager then Test from the sidebar
  2. Click on a Active (mceclip1.png) Test
  3. In the Test details page, go to the Test languages section and click on Copy content to a new language (mceclip0.png)
  4. A new language section will appear next to the existing one and you be asked to fill out the following information:
    • Language
    • Test title
    • Description
           
      Label   Description
      Language  

      You will have to select the new language for this test from the drop-down menu.

  5. Click on UPDATE on the top right of the page

 

View a Test's information

  1. Select Training Manager then Test from the sidebar
  2. Select the test you are interested in
  3. On the test details page, you will see the Info box
  4. This box contains the following information:
    • Owner
    • Status
    • Created
    • Updated
    • Version
           
      Label   Description
      Owner   The owner row will show the email address of the person that created the Test
           
      Status   The status of the Test can be either Draft (mceclip0.png) or Active (mceclip1.png)
           
      Created   This field shows the creation date and timestamp
           
      Updated   This field shows the latest update date and timestamp
           
      Version   Every time an edit is made or a new language is added, the version number counter will increase.
